Ellie's 7 months!

We haven't been up to much this last week.  Over the weekend there was a tornado warning.  We were prepared the sleep downstairs and had some extra supplies ready but the storm never got bad by us.  The closest tornado was about an hour or two south of us.  I'm so grateful it wasn't worse but Matt and I were both like "that was it?" we've had way worse storms without the warning.  Matt had to speak on Sunday so I'm sure he was hoping the church would be blown away (:
On Tuesday Ellie and I went to the zoo with my friend Mandi and her two little boys.  It was so much fun!  Ellie really didn't seem to care much for the animals yet.  She was most interested in the howler monkeys because of all the noise.
Matt has been busy, busy again this last week because of finals.  I think he has something like 12 finals.  Can you believe that!  I feel bad for the boys in school.
On an exciting note!  Julie and Zaidee will be home this weekend!  I'm so super happy and excited for them!  Ellie and I are flying out tomorrow morning.  I bought the cheapest ticked... so of course we will be flying to Chicago (out of our way) and then Utah.  Hopefully it will be a good 7 hours!  KILL ME (:

Is it just me or does she look like Matt when she's grumpy???
Sorry babe (:

Ellie is talking constantly now.  She say's da da, ya ya, na na, but no ma ma yet.
She squeaks and squeals like crazy, sometimes it's embarrassing!

My favorite pass time is kissing those little cheeks and her perfect little chin.

Studying with daddy.  They both look so bored (:

Ellie is starting to roll and wiggle all over the place.  It's bad because my house is still not baby safe yet.  This morning I caught her sucking on my glue gun (good thing it wasn't plugged in!)

Easter weekend

This weekend was so fun!  Matt took a little break before his upcoming finals and we went to Kansas City to visit Leslie and Jon.  It is always so fun to visit with them.  A few of the things we did are: played cards, walked around a beautiful garden downtown, shopped at the plaza, ate BBQ (of course), went to The Toy and Miniature Museum (I couldn't believe how small some of the things were, it was amazing!!!), and went to church.
I was so excited for Easter this year because of Ellie, even though she had no idea what was going on.  It's crazy to think that next year she will be able to go on an Easter egg hunt!  In her basket she got a book, pearl earrings, little decorative birdie, sunglasses, and a polka dot bikini (:

Before we left for Kansas

My bright eyed gal.

Ellie always wants to stand up.

We colored eggs with our friends Dave, Dahlia, Marissa, and Jackson.

Ellie wanted to eat them, they looked so good!

Friday morning Matt went shooting with some dental friends.
Yes they are pointing at the camera and yes they are dorks (:

Easter in Kansas

I just love this face!

At the Toy and Miniature museum.

At the garden

The blue color was just gorgeous!

Ellie's thinking "what are they doing to me!"

Shopping at the Plaza

Listening to daddy sing some James Taylor before bed.

Easter morning

Opening her basket.... ok I know it's a bucket (:

Sickness, Springtime, Karen, and Antiquing

Poor little Ellie was sick this week.  She started with this awful deep cough then it progressively got worse.  She was so whiney and miserable.  On Wednesday I took her to the doctor and she had an ear infection, the poor little poo!  Having a healthy child is such a blessing!
This weekend was so fun!  Karen came for a short trip.  We went antique shopping, ate Thai food, had Falafel, walked around the botanical gardens, and went shopping downtown.  We missed you Julie!

Walking with Ellie

She doesn't know what to think of her sunglasses.

Auntie Karen!!!

Antique shopping with the girls.

Springtime in the Gardens

These were my favorite flowers. So pretty and cute.

Ellie hates the sun

I wanted to let her smell the tulips but she had other ideas (:

Breakfast at Farmhouse Cafe

Ellie can drink from a straw!!!  When we went out last week with some friends Matt gave here the straw to play with and she totally drank it.  She had water all down her shirt (:

Shopping in Old Market.  Turtle out Karen (:
